nice oil, overall satisfied
Ordered on 10/13/2014, arrived 10/16/2014, not bad delivery timefor the free shipping option. About the oil: yes, it is very thick! What one must realise, is that the oil comes from a plant resin. If you've ever seen and handled any plant resin/sap like myrrh beads/tears, you'll understand why this oil is so thick. The oil is a little tough to work with, but heck, it's 100% pure and it's better than working with the beads themselves and I think my nose is just stuffy, but, it has a slight myrrh scent to it with all the numbing qualities. Suggestions: Roll the bottle in your hands for a bit to get the oil flowing or use a disposable pipette (do a Google search for pipettes, bulk) or let the closed bottle sit in warmed water to get the oil more viscous to use (not too hot, just over room temp or over heating will kill the oil). Price: affordable! Even the 2oz. bottle is worth it, as the NOW! brand is close to $30 for 1oz. at a local health food store near me! In the box: Inside the shipping container, was a catalog of pipingrock products, a getting started guide with aromatherapy scent and massage oil ideas, a coupon code for $10 off your next order, invoice and of course, the product nestled in a wadding of recyclable, brown kraft paper (can you tell I work in the paper industry?). Hope this review was helpful!Ordered on 10/13/2014, arrived 10/16/2014, not bad delivery timefor the free shipping option. About the oil: yes, it is very thick! Very good product
I have ordered this one for cosmetic use as well - it surprised me - very dense, concentrated, and great properties of Myrrh, as well as nice smell. Smoky Caramelized Onion
I have never bought Myrrh before and I would not say that is smells bad, it is an interesting scent that you would have to get used to. I found the best way to explain the scent is to compare it to the scent of caramelized onion. Before you smell see that comparison, it may smell like smoky death. I also felt to mention that this is a tree resin, so it will be thick like Maple Syrup and you will need to heat it in warm water or you will have difficulty getting it out of the small dropper bottle.I have never bought Myrrh before and I would not say that is smells bad, it is an interesting scent that you would have to get used to. I absolutely love this Myrrh Oil. I mixed it with some olive oil and massage it into my body after bath. Burn during Bible study
Reading The Bible with my grandson he wanted to know what franken sense and myrrh smelled like. He is 8 years old and thought it would be a good idea when we read to have some burn. From an 8 year old he thought it was wonderful and so did his grandma. We'll buy again to carry on tradition.Reading The Bible with my grandson he wanted to know what franken sense and myrrh smelled like.
